How can I fix my PSC 2355 All in one Printer?

Why does the little screen on my HP PSC 2355 all-in-one printer keep freezing after i plug it in?

• i have a HP PSC 2355 all-in-one multifunction printer. it worked perfectly fine for the longest time and then randomly it stopped working. i unplugged it and plugged it back in, and the loading screen on the little screen on the printer freezes and we can't do anything. all the correct software is installed and so is the drivers.
