My printer wont work? help?

Printer wont work? help!!?

  • I need to print out a homework assignment, and my printer wont work. I know nothing about computers, so help would be great. the red light is on, and my computer gets the command, but it wont do anything. I have an hp deskjet 3600 series or whatever if that helps.

    Turn both the printer and the pc off. Unplug the printer cable from the pc. Turn just the pc back on. Plug the printer cable back into the pc and turn the printer back on. If this does not work, you may have a paper jam inside the printer. Open up the cover and look for any small scraps of paper that might be jamming the rollers. Gently pull them out and repeat the steps above. If all else fails, try reinstalling the printer using your printer's install disk.

ok, just like that person said, check cables, then put some paper. if it says, paper is out, or something like that, put in some paper.

1st check if the cables are in place, if is loaded with paper, or if the paper is jamed.
