How can I keep my printer from printing a blank sheet of paper between each actual document?

  • I have an HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One printer and I have an issue in which the printer prints a blank sheet of paper in between each actual page of text/photo. This occurs only when I print from my laptop (in Network), NOT when I print from my PC (hooked up with USB). I tried contacting HP's Tech Support...which proved to be very unhelpful and actually messed up some settings on my computer. Does anyone have advice?

    Here's what I'd do: Download the latest driver set from HP's support website UNinstall the print drivers and software from BOTH computers. Reboot. Install the printer on your desktop. Verify that it works. Reconnect the laptop to the remote printer via your network. Trying to troubleshoot the exact cause of problems like this is a nightmare in Windows. Uninstalling and reinstalling, when possible, solves 80% of the problems in 20% of the time.
