Why isn't my printer printing?

My printer isnt printing - the paper just comes out blank?

  • I have put an ink cartridge in but the printer behaves as if it is printing but it is clear the ink is not getting through i am lost help

    If you don't use the printer often (at least once a month) you probably have cartridges drying up on you. If by chance you have an epson or canon, the print head is inside the printer, so regardless of how many new cartridges you put in there, you will encounter the same problem. If you are using a generic or third party ink, it may be too dense or of low quality clogging your print head. You can try to run a bunch of print head cleanings. (your manual will tell you how) If by about 8 you are not seeing any improvement start with a new printer. Do a print head cleaning once a month ALWAYS as a preventative measure. This will ensure you get a long life out of your printer, and a top quality print from your cartridges.

Go to your printer options and troubleshoot the problem. Also is your ink cartridges old. They could be dried out if they're old or have been setting open not in a container.

It is a refilled cartridge? If is, then maybe its overload of ink, sometimes behave like this to avoid leaks. Did you take the tape that its in the printheads?? or maybe as the other friend up there said....maybe its pretty old and its dry... but this is not to usual...it must be pretty old...and it depends the temp. where it it the cartridge... hope you solve the problem!
