Multiple Fax Machines in One Office?

• I am just wondering how we are able to set up two fax machines in one office. The office building we are in currently is two separate floors for about 10 offices. We are wanting to have another fax machine set up on the upstairs floor to avoid having to go up and down stairs each time we want to fax something. Our dilemma is, we only have one phone line designated for fax, and about 4 for regular telephone lines. How do we set up the second fax machine up on the network, so that both fax machines do not print incoming faxes, and so that the fax will goto the correct machine. (ie: upstairs offices receive upstairs faxes and vise versa). We want to allow both to send and receive faxes if possible, but as we get some spam faxes that come through, we dont want to be printing them more than once (trying to save paper). The two machines we have are: Downstairs: Xerox Phaser 6180 Upstairs: Dell 2145cn Colour Laser Any help would be very appreciated

  I'm not sure how your phone systems are setup, but you would at least need to get another line for the additional fax machine. You could also convert one of the lines that you use for voice to your fax machine.
