Why won't my black ink work?

I only want to know why my black ink in my brother printer doesn't work?

  • my printer by brother MFC49CW the black cartridge doesn't work.

    it's either the cartridge or your black print head is clogged. if another cartridge doesnt help, try this $7 head cleaner which I have used to clear epson, brother and canon printers which weren't printing (either entirely or specific colors). It says Epson but it's a universal cleaner for many printers. http://ccs-digital.com/epson-head-cleaner.asp
