How to debug a core file without debug symbols?

My printer prints symbols, smily faces every time i print a file?

• My printer HP laserjet 2100 prints symbols , smiley faces and sometimes print my page on 2 papers each one has a vertical half of the original page and sometimes it gives me that code PCL XL error Subsystem: kernel Error: IllegalAttribute Operator: LineRelpath Position :529 this usually happens with pdf and powerpoint files, sometimes with world document I deleted the printer then reinistalled it yet the problem is still there, i unplugged it and then started it again but in vain , is it the Windows, do i have to reinstall it Or is it something else??.....thx in advance

  this sounds like a bad or corrupt driver problem if you have the CD that came with the printer reinstall that if not go to the manufactures web site and find download and install the driver from there for your specific model and report back if the problem was not solved
