What printer do professional photographers use?

What do the pros use??

  • What brand and type of paper do the professional photographers use to print their pics?? and what kind of printer [[specifics..brand type whatever]] do they use??? What software do photographers use professionally....adobe??

    as far as software: I would guess that most photographers use photoshop adobe (latest version is CS3). I heard some to prefer Canon printers and papers.

My boss at my old job was a pro photog. He used a wide carriage Epson Photo EX. It used 6 ink tanks instead of the usual 4 at the time. Make sure the printer is photo quality, wide carriage if you want to do anything larger than 8x10, and that is has as many different inks as you can afford. 8 is the best right now, I think. Epson seems to be the brand choice, although HP is good too. The software they use is called PhotoShop.

There are commercial printers that sells 6 or 8 ink tanks. These are called Photo printers. There are plenty of commercial papers that are available. You can you a High Gloss Paper or High Gloss Photo Paper. It depends on your purpose. The best software to use is Adobe Photoshop.
