HP Deskjet 3745 does not print?

Why won't my HP Deskjet print in color?

• Computer: Toshiba Satellite X205 OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit Printer: HP Deskjet D4160 Both the color ink cartridge and black one work perfectly when a test page or cleaning or diagnostics is printed. The printing Preferences settings are set for printing in color. More specifically; "Print in color" is selected. However, when I attempt to print something from MS Paint or Microsoft Word (or any other program) that has color in it, the document will not print anything that is colorful. he It all comes out either in all black or greyscale. If I try to print without the black cartridge it results in a blank sheet of paper. Because I know the printer and cartridges are working correctly on the test pages, I checked every possible setting I could find that might result in greyscale in all my programs. Strange thing is, if I hook the printer to any of my friend's computers, they can print in color. I can't find anything to fix this with my computer. Please help me find out what is wrong and how to fix it!

  If you can effectively refill your cartridge it is cheaper, however very few cartridges can be effectively refilled and even less people can get them working correcly post refilling. The most likely outcome will probably be out the cost of a refill kit and replacement cartridges. But the decision is up to you. There are 2 websites I suggest for refilled ink, and new ink catrdiges.
