Why ism't the Epson printer working?

My epson printer isn't working properly!?

  • I just bought ink for my epson printer and it isn't printing out my work properly. I need some color on the page, but the paper is only only me black letters. Also, the words are cut off the page and I don't know what's wrong, I need this damn printer to work NOW! I need some help really quick because I need to go to bed and I need to get this done by tonight. Thank you ;) Any questions just ask.

    You did not mention what ink you added was it black or the three colors. Did you do an ink refill or new cartridges? I am going to assume ink refill If so then make sure you run a clean cycle and a cartridge alignment you may need toi do this a few times. If that still does not work and the ink ran totally dry before refill then get a paper towel fold in quarters and dampen with warm water sit the cartridge on it for around four minutes and ensure the ink is flowing from the cartridge. Then gently pat dry (do not rub dry)do not touch the metal contacts with your hands reinstal cartridge and rerun cleaning cycle. This procedure is documented on the internet in various places. If the cartridges were very dry it may take more time to get the ink flowing Be carefull where you do this as ink will stain

Generally color can be enabled or disabled in Print Properties. If the words are getting cut off, look at what you are printing and what margins you have got. For example on MS Word, you can change the margins of the document. I don't know what you are trying to print or from which program. Silly question, I assume that the paper is stacked properly and lined correctly? Try and print a test page, that will show you if the problem is with the printer or the software you are using.
