Can I use a generic cable for my kodak printer?

Bt home-hub 3 just installed but cannot get my printer, kodak esp 5210 to connect?

  • I have just changed from talktalk to bt yahoo. My kodak esp 5210 printer worked great with talktalk, but since I installed the bt home-hub 3 , my printer cannot be detected. the printer says its connected to the home-hub, and the printer is installed on my laptop, but when I try to connect kodak set-up utillity, it just keeps saying printer not detected. I dont want to use a USB cable as I prefer wireless. Can anyone slove this problem. I've tried going from b/g/n/ to b/g, still the same.....please help, I'm going nuts.

  • Answer:

I had this problem, Some printers do not like using a WPA2 wireless key, So I had to change to a WEP key to get to work but that is less secure...

you will need to set the printer up again with the new SSID and passkey which should be on a sticker on the bottom of the BT Home hub. Use the installation CD that came with the Kodak and put in the new details HTH David
