My grandma's printer stopped printing?

Her friend gave her a computer and installed the printer. They tested it and it printed fine at that time. Then one of my cousin's girlfriend's came over and messed around with a bunch of stuff and now when she tries to print, documents just go into the print queue. The printer is on, the ink was recently refilled and no error messages of any kind come up when we select Print. It says the printer is ready, and it shows up on the control panel as HP 3740 series (the printer is a 3745 so I know that's right). I would just uninstall and reinstall but she doesn't know where her installation disk is. Does anybody know what might be wrong and why things aren't printing? Help would be much appreciated. I'm fairly computer savvy but I'm stumped on this one. Thanks!

Please check the default printer setting. Seems like you are not using the one you have. or if it's worst than that, kindly try to look for the software installer and reinstall it again.
