How do you work offline on a mac?

Canon PIXMA MP495 printer appears to be "offline" please help!!!!!?

• so i recenlty purchased the printer mentioned above and it does scan but it doesnt print and its getting me reallllllllly frustrated D:< does anybody know how to make it work ? when i try printing something it just shows that its offline. i have a mac computer btw

  MAC Offline Turn printer on 1 - Open System Preferences by clicking on the icon in the Dock. 2 - Go to the Print & Fax control panel under the Hardware category. 3 - Select the printer you want to take online from the list on the left side of the screen. Then click on the "Open Print Queue" button. 4 - Click on the "Resume Printer" button at the top of the queue window to change the printer from offline to online. Now, restart your computer EDIT: Try sending Canon an email explaining your situation and let them know what you have already tried to remedy this problem. Click on link below
