How do you get the printer to only use black ink?

How do i get my HP photosmart printer use the right ink?

  • how do i get my HP photosmart c6300 series printer to switch from using the photo black ink to using the regular black ink?

    Take out the photo cartridge and use an HP92 or HP98 high yield black cartridge.

HUMM.. i didnt have any idea there was a difference... i just used the regular ink that came with the printer... on mine its 74 for black and 75 for color,, i did find they make XL size.. which is cheaper by volume then the smaller normal size cartridges i do print photos now and then on plain paper..not bad i guess i know in the print options you can adjust how the ink is used or type of printing of colors you want..
