How do I add my printer to my wireless network?

How do I restart the "print spooler" in order to add a printer to my network laptop from my network desktop?

  • My laptop uses Vista Home Premium, my desktop (hard wire attached to printer) is still using Win 2000. It has worked in the past but the printer disappeared from my laptop. The printer still works from my desktop. I get a message saying I have to restart my spooler before I can add a printer. I have a D-Link router and have Ultra-light cable service. I can access files from desktop harddrive on my lap top but can't print them.

  • Answer:

Click start Open the run command and type: net start spooler You will get a message saying the print spool service has started Sometimes the print spooler is not listed in msconfig/services
