Help with HP computer and HP printer?

HP Printer All-In-One F2480 help - computer says I'm connected but Photosmart doesn't?

I had downloaded Photosmart and plugged in my printer yet even though the computer could print things off - when I chose the USB connection option it didn't pick up my printer (The printer IS ON). I've tried restarting computer, umplugging and replugging, and waiting a few days to try again. How can I solve thsi problem? (Need to scan A.S.A.P.)

mmm Are you using windows 7? If so, go to control panel then click "hardware and sound". Then click "devices and printers" there find your printer right click it then choose "troubleshoot" if there is a connection problem that should fix it.... I will check back for an additional comment to see if it worked or not. i hope that works
