Why is my photo-printer printing out my black and white photos red?

i have a hp photosmart C4480...I have black ink and no color ink...I have a black and white photo that I took with my camera, trying to print it out in black and white and its still printing out my photo is red/pink ink even though the picture was taken in black and white..when i print out a word document it comes out in black ink..why is my black and white photo not coming out in black/gray ink?

Answer:
make sure you choose to print in black and white as it doesn't matter to the printer you have taken a black and white pic or not.Before printing go to print settings/properties choose print in monochrome/grey scale.
