The consumer website below (Consumer Search) collects and consolidates reviews for all types of products and makes recommendations based on their analysis of various reviews. The links below are for their latest recommendations/compilation of reviews for multi-function printers and photo pritn (last updated in January 2010): The first link goes to a chart that compares their top 6 pick. The second link goes to the main page for their multifunction printer reviews. http://www.consumersearch.com/multifunction-printer-reviews/compare http://www.consumersearch.com/multifunction-printer-reviews ~~~~~ You may also want to look into Consumer Reports...the last time they reviewed all-in-one printers was in their November 2009 issue (they also did a review on a wide spectrum of printers in their December 2009 issue). They also publish a yearly "Electronics Buying Guide" which includes printers. Both of these (the magazine and the Electronics Buying Guide) should be available at your local public library. Or, for $5.95/month (auto-renewing, but you can cancel at any time), you can subscribe to their online version, which offers a full ratings/report on many types of printers (examples/links below): All-in-one printer ratings: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/electronics-computers/computers-internet/printers/all-in-one-printer-ratings/ratings-overview.htm ~~~~~ In addition, Castle Ink (the company I work for) has posted a two-part guide to all-in-one printers - about what to look for when purchasing an all-in-one printer and comparing the top all-in-one printers: http://www.castleink.com/_a-AllInOnePrinters.html http://www.castleink.com/_a-ComparingAllInOnePrinters.html ~~~~~ Regarding print speeds, some of these list this spec..otherwise, if you narrow your search down to a few printers and have not found the print speeds, you can go to the manufacturer's site, search the printer by model number and look for a link/tab to printer specifications and it will list the page-per-minute for both black and white and color copying (and faxing). Hope this helps, Kerry

CANON MP490 would be my recommendation to you.It costs less than 50 dollars and can print, scan and copy. The reviews have been good and better than most other all in one printers. You can check out the review below: http://printscan.about.com/od/allinoneprinters/gr/pixmamp490.htm http://www4.shopping.com/xPO-Canon-MP490

go with the kodak printer, one thing is that their ink is alot cheaper to replace than the rest of the brands and they are good printers. You might find a cheaper printer but when you go to replace the ink you pay the price.

I would first off find out how much the replacement ink is as this is the main running cost of any printer. In my opinion I have always found Epson to be cheapest cartridges. Go for a multifunction all in one printer and unless you specifically will be printing photos then dont choose a photo printer. All printers will print reasonably good quality photos now.
