Vista compatible printers?

  • have got laptop with vista loaded , need info on printer that is compatible . using a HP desktop F380 , but its got gremlins , any ideas how to sort it , thanks

    i have the same problem got vista and a hp photosmart printer and after installing the drivers from there website it worked ok for a day or so then kept asking me to download the drivers again and again and again. So i rang hp they advise me to uninstall the drivers and re downloading them. So i did and still the same bloody problem. i still believe that if you get a printer and want to use it on a vista based pc make sure the cd supplied has the drivers and that you dont have to download them and im sure it will work fine. have you got the correct drivers for vista installed if not you can get them for you HP F380 here http://www.driversbay.com/drivers/printers/hp/deskjet-f380/microsoft-windows-vista/ beware though it's a hefty download so you'll need broadband

I HATE VISTA we have a lexmark and had to send off / download drivers for vista....maybe u will too

The driver for Vista is different , so you need to down load this from the printer manufacturer. I had a similar issue when I got my desktop , and new printer as the disc with the printer did not have a driver for Vista Mind you Vista is quite clever and after a while it works out that you need to update . You should make sure you are set for automatic updates from Windows..

Glad to be of help PS: By the way, reinstall everything belonging to the printer. It does help because your last installation may have become corrupt.
