Why isn't my printer printing?

Why isnt my printer, printing wirelessly?

  • I have hooked my printer up to my wireless router via ethernet cable. Have installed all the drivers n programs needed and all diagnostic checks say that it is ready to print. But when I go to print it says that theres an error printing. Any ideas why this is?

  • Answer:

Try printing a test page. Or check your print server in your router.

reinstall the printer software.

you must unplug the Ethernet cable because the wireless diagnostic mode won't calibrate.

Try to ping the printer... if it's on a wireless network it should have an IP If you need to find the IP look at your manual or download angry IP scanner. Make sure it's not a network issue. if you can see the device you should be able to print to it.

well, if you do have all the drivers...then you may need to talk to the provider of the router...it may not be a compatible printer as well

So I guess you can't print a Test Page from Printers in Control Panel. I would Delete the printer and then Add New Printer and let the Wizard find it. If it doesn't find it then you have problems with the actual printer setup or the connections.
