How do I install a Canon Pixma Printer?

I currently use a Lexmark Printer On a Dell Laptop using Windows XP Pro and I would like to replace the Lexmark Printer with a Canon Pixma Printer. What is the BEST way to uninstall the Lexmark printer and install the Canon Pixma Printer? Thank you. Both printers use a USB port.

You should be able to uninstall the print driver for the lexmark via your control panel. it's at this location: Start > control panel > add or remove programs. The new Canon printer will have an installation CD with it that contains everything you will need to install it.
