Shared printer problem?

Problem printing to the shared laser printer?

• Every once in a while, the shared laser printer (HP Laserjet 4100) gives me problems. it either: 1. Prints the job perfectly 2. My computer gives out a spooling error 3. The job gets printed 2 or 3 hours after I sent it, the printer lights aren't flashing in those 2 hours, as if it was idle I have re/un-installed the driver, and even reformatted my computer. Also, it doesn't matter what types of job I send it, word, pdf, websites, they all fail. While it doesn't happen all the time, it does drive me crazy when it happens. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Try connecting to the printer with a a parallel cable and see if you get the same problem if there is still a problem then its something to do with your pc, I'm also assuming the other users sharing the printer have no issues. If it works fine as a local printer then it has to do with the network setup of the printer to your pc.
