Do you know of a current model, dedicated photo printer compatible with Windows 7?
-
I purchased a new computer with Windows 7. My old HP Photosmart 7660 was terrific but I cannot use all the features (driver not supported). I do not like multifunction printers. *consumables must be reasonably priced* Thank you :-)

Answer:
Microsoft invented Windows 7, so they should know. Here's a link to the Microsoft list: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Browse.aspx?type=Hardware&category=Printers%20%26%20Scanners&subcategory=Ink-Jet%20Printers There are 735 printers on that list, so you should be able to find one you will like... . . .

Canon is the way to go. Any Canon photo printer will work beautifully and will give you the best photo quality. It will also work with 3rd party paper (and third party inks, but I wouldn't advise you to use those inks). Epson is a good choice if you can afford to splurge on Epson photo paper and go repair the print head every time it gets clogged. Epson printers have a short shelf life but high DPI prints. HP printers are horrendous. Combined with high ink prices and the constant paper jamming, I would never recommend an HP printer to anyone after the few experiences I have had. However, HP support is the BEST and they will help you solve anything - if you have the time to contact them every time something goes wrong. Brother, Lemark etc.. NAH! Canon for photo quality.
If you couldn't find driver on HP site easy, you could try a program I use. It automatically updates your drivers, saves me a lot of time and frustration. Take a look here for those drivers. http://www.hp-drivers.org/
