What shall I do to install printer?

Printer driver wont install? what to do?

  • my printer is hp 1410 all in one series OS is windows 7 ultimate i downloadd the driver from hp official website (the one for win7 ultimate 32 bit) but when it says to plug in the device i plug it then installs the driver but before completion a balloon pop ups on the task bar and says "device was not installed" or something like that. I really need a printer/scanner so what should i do??

Have you tried to print at all or just assumed you needed the driver, check it out. Also, if the HP official driver didn't work you can try HP support.

Go into your "Device Manager" and check to see if the printer is there and has a driver installed. If the indication is that a driver is installed, but the printer won't print, make sure you installed the printer exactly as the instructions suggested. If connecting by USB port, make sure you don't connect the printer until instructed. If the printer still won't work and was installed correctly, you may have to uninstall the printer's driver and then try to reinstall it again. Just make sure you follow the directions correctly!
