Having a problem with my canon printer?

Canon ip4500 printer problem?

  • my Canon ip4500 printer suddenly stopped printing. The software acts normally and indicates printing in progress and the printer heads move just like they are printing but the paper comes out blank and without any error message. Its as if the printer jets simply aren't ejecting ink but the head thinks it's printing anyway.?????????

  • Answer:

It may be the the print head is blocked - if you go to the maintenance section you can do a print head clean. Go to devices and printers (windows 7) or control panel, printers rt click in the canon and choose printer properties maintenance etc. If the cleaning method doesn't work then either the print head had failed completely or there is a fault elsewhere. Fixing these printers tends to be uneconomic once you take into account parts and labour HTH David

Other answers

Check if the cartridges are placed correctly and check the ink levels in it through the software ( as some of them shows) and some printers need both color and black & white cartridges to work. If not buy them and don't try to refill as its messy and check if you opened the seal cause that's where the ink comes from. If none of these are the problem buy a new printer or just print outside in some shop
