Printer not working?

My printer is a HP psc 1317 all-in-one, The power cable for it is one of those that plugs into the PC and printer with an adapter before it enters the printer. The PC works fine so I presume the problem is with the adapter... The printer doesnt switch on and doesnt appear to have any power going into it. Any Idea where I can get a replacement without paying a fortune? If not, Any idea where I can get a cheap printer untill I can get it fixed....Im in the UK.

Well Maria, generally printers today in the current market are really affordable. So unless you have a brand spankin new printer that cost $600 i advise you to just buy a new 1. Go to your local office supply store or a store that sells in bulk. Printers are practically free they get you with the price of INK. In my household we went through 2 printers already. We bought 2 cuz they were so cheap and the price of the ink was more expensive than the printers after rebate!! Once ink for the 1st printer ran out we used the 2nd printers ink and sold the 2nd printer seperately at a garage sale! xD I'm currently on my 3rd printer :3
