How do I get a dead mouse out of a printer?

  • So I had started up my computer and gone to make a drink on the Sodastream but when i got back my printer was making a noise half way between a click and a thump over and over again. I turned off the power and opened the printer and there was a dead mouse stuck under a long rod like mechanism inside the printer. I tried pulling it but it just tore in half, I cleaned up the blood and mouse bits from when that happened but the head end is stuck fast. The make is Hp Photosmart Premium, and I've phoned support but they just hung up on me. I have 7 hours before my parents get home any suggestions? Dont ask for pics because its gross as hell its cut in half, and the front end looks like its been ran over its skull is kinda crushed too. My parents also have our only camera -.-

    Damn that's nasty. I would just take the printer apart and remember where the parts go...OR you could buy another cheap printer

I would guess you have a USB printer which attracted a USB mouse. Unless you spilled cereal in the printer and attracted a serial mouse. This shatters another myth: that the photosmart has heads in the cartridges - not in the printer. Sorry, but you have to look at the funny side.

Dude. What the f*ck. There's a (probably) disease ridden rodent mangled in your printer. That thing is gone. Take it to your dump, burn it, do whatever, just don't keep it. Buy a new one man, trust me. The electromagnetic parts are probably all f*cked up as well

It would seem as though the mouse got stuck inside one of the print feed rollers...problem is...he probably bent it too...It is probably cheaper to buy another printer than to replace all of the bent parts and clean all of it out...
