the easiest and best way is to buy a print server. this way both computers can access the printer whenever they want. Several companies make them netgear, linksys, etc. The other way is to have the printer connected to one computer and powered on. Then have the second computer access the shared printer on the first computer. If the first computer is off then nothing will print.

u need the following things only a crossover wire for connecting two computer on LAN,but if u have wireless in both computers than u dont need it. just install printer on one computer,go to controll panel and select printer,just share it . go to other computer and install a shared printer not local,it will find autometically. and enjoy simply the best
