Why isnt my printer printing?

Its a hp photosmart c4500 series. it only prints when it wants. it makes copies and everything. its online, it just says printer failed to print... help!
Answer:

go to devices and printers and right click on your printer and set it to "use printer online" or something like that and make sure its your default printer. you should also check if you have the latest drivers.

I have the same printer and it's crap. I gave up on it, it will not work. Whenever i want to print something, it won't print. But a few days later when i need to print something else, it will give me endless copies of what i was trying to print a few days ago.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Drivers for it. Go to the HP website and download the latest drivers.

maybe your inks low or get it checked by the pc fixers ask them whats wrong.
