How come i cannot reinstall printer?

Help please, my printer has stopped working?

• It is turned on, but when I click to print it doesn't even make a sound. In the control panel, the printer says Default Printer Printer Status Deleting .. I have tried to reinstall the printer but it won't come in. How do I reverse the status deleting and why does it say my security is not set for this....it has worked fine all along. I'm really stumped.

  I have seen this problem several times myself. The first thing I would try is turning your printer off and then back on again. If that doesn't help, open your printer icon, click delete on any open printing jobs, and then try printing whatever you are trying to print again. I would also make sure that the your printer is the one set for default, as I have seen numerous times that the printer set for default doesn't actually exist.
