Why does my printer use all the paper at once?

Can you use notebook paper or construction paper on a desk jet printer?

• I just ran out of blank white paper and I need to print something.Will it harm my printer if I use construction paper or notebook paper?My printer is HP Desk jet D1530.I need answers ASAP!!!!!

  should be OK - generally they can take envelopes, thicker card etc. and don't have a complicated paper path like a big 2-sided laserjet the paper won't harm the printer unless you insert something stupid like sandpaper the problem is getting paper stuck then trying to remove it, having it tear and leaving bits behind. don't try old newspaper or thin paper.
