I have wireless internet, how do I set up wireless printing? I just purchased a new Canon all in one printer.?

Two of my pcs have Windows Vista, and the main PC that the printer is hooked up to has Windows XP, does any of that matter? Will I need anything special? I feel like I should just call Geek Squad. I did set up my wireless network for the PCs, so I should be able to do this, I would think! TIA for your responses!

If the new Canon isn't set up for wireless, and the others can see each other on the network, just leave it hooked up to the XP PC and share it. I'm not sure about Vista, but with XP I've always found that running the printer's install on each networked machine and installing it as a network printer worked well. This is because each machine has it's own copy of the drivers.So here's the steps: Share the printer on the XP machine. Reboot all machines to refresh the network. Install the printer as a network printer on the other two. Enjoy.

if the printer does not have wireless card on it then your printer can not act as network printer. What you can do is, share the printer on your PC and then let wireless devices to connect to the PC and print from there.

On the main computer, go into the Start menu, and the Printer/Fax selection Find the printer and right click on it Turn on the "sharing" Go to either of the other computers Click into the Network icon and the Network and Sharing Center View computers and devices You should be able to see the main computer Click on it and you should able to see the attach printer Click on the printer and it should install the drivers needed for you to print Once you have installed the printer, it will be available to you in the "File/Printer" menu of any program Realize that the main computer has to be on for you to print. When you print, the file is actually transferred to the main computer and then it automatically prints the file for you. (The file is then removed from the main computer, so there is no way someone can see the file from that computer)
