How to set Laserjet 5M print direct from cassette directly?

  you need to set it up in the configuration menu.press the menu key till you see config menu on the display press enter.the display should read mp tray i'm not 100% sure what to set this to but try changing it and press enter.also in the config menu check to make sure the tray lock is not turned on it should be set to none.also check to make sure the paper size you have set in your computer matches what is programmed into the printer this is shown in the printer menu on the machine.if the display reads "load XX paper in cassette (mc or lc)" before you hit go this is most likely the problem.hope this helps.
