Where can I buy a label printer with partial laminating ability?

  • I am looking for a printer manufacturer that can provide a machine to produce labels that are partially covered with a clear laminate, to leave a flap of laminate and an uncovered writable area on the label. The ideal method is that the label material is printed with our specific designs and sizes for each product, then partially laminated, with laminate remaining on some release liner. The label then gets cut to size as appropriate. The labels are intended to be quality approval labels for our products, signed and dated when sent from the factory, with the flap of laminate stuck down once the label is written on.

    Lamination is done after printing and separately. Even commercial printers send it out to laminate or use a completely different unit altogether.
