Why won't my black ink work?

Why wont my new ink cartridge work?

  • i put a new hp colour cartridge in the printer and it will only print black

    Are You sure you bought the right cartridge? This has happened to be several times, either the tape was not taken off all the way or it is even possible the cartridge was mistakenly put in the wrong package. Return it to the store you bought it from, they will and should give you a new proper one, or even your money back. Hope this helps.

They have a clear see-through plastic on them that need to be removed before inserting into your printer, maybe you left it on. When a new cartridge has been fitted it needs to be electronically aligned,there should be a button that enables you to do this.

If you aligned your cartridge it should have printed color onto the aligment page. If not..you may need to do the alignment for the newly installed cartridge.

make sure you you order the right cartridge, try to unplugged the power cord of the wall to reset the printer i hope it work for you

Make sure that you have removed the plastic tape cover on the bottom of it . If you have and it still does not work . Take it back to the store that you got it from .

Lost in time

This happened to me I got some "like for like" ink cartridges and my printer didn't recognise them so I had to install them 1 by 1 perhaps contact the supplier of the ink and see what they say
