How does the internet work?

Why/How do i make my internet work on my new Samsung Jet?

• Hey guys, i got a Smasung Jet yesterday on a 24 month plan with 3 and before i bought it the lady said that the phone has internet so i dont have to buy any internet packs. but i wen home and tested it out, works perfectly minus the internet. i tried again a few hours after i bought it same response "you need to buy an internet package or your mobile has blocked internet" i called but the 3 people and they checkd it out. came bak to me and said it should be up an runnin in 4 hours. i woke up the next day, about about 12 hours later, internet still doesnt work. went to school, tried again, same response. tried now 24 hrs later, still not working. Can someone tell me why my internet isnt working? i bought the phone mainly for internet and if i have to spend more money buying the internet pack its kinda not worth it. PLZ HELP ME MAKE MY INTERNET WORK WITHOUT EXTRA COSTS!!!!

  From your description, you would like to use only the WLAN feature of the phone because you do not want to buy the internet package monthly. Activating WLAN (wireless internet) 1. In Menu mode, select Wi-Fi. 2. Select the circle in the centre to activate a WLAN. Search for and connect to a WLAN 1. In Menu mode, select Wi-Fi → Search. 2. Select a network icon → Add and add a connection profile. If the network you want needs an IP address, subnet mask, DNS, or gateway information, select Advanced settings. Wi-Fi security should be set as the selected network configuration and 802.1x (EAPTTLS, PEAP) is supported. 3. In Menu mode, select Internet or Communities, or in Idle mode, select a web-based widget. Your phone connects to the network using the connected WLAN profile. Attach is a user manual for your phone if you do not have one.
