How do i print double sided?

How do I print double sided and envelope addresses?

• I have the Brother Hl 2070N which doesn't have a double sided printing feature. I know you could just the paper back in but which way and words up and bottom of page in first or top. I also want to print envelopes properly

  There is a simple way to work out how you turn the paper to print on the other side... On one sheet draw an arrow on the top face pointing into the printer. Use a pencil or something else that won;t upset the printer. Print one page. See how the text lines up with the arrow. If it's on the other side, put the paper back with the text upwards. If it's the same side, put the paper back text downwards. Keep the arrow pointing the same way (it might be underneath, but point it into the printer). That way the printout will be teh same way up on both sides. remember... if you turn the stack over (having printed page 1, 3, 5 ... ) the stack will need sorting the other order or you will need to print the other order to make page 2 be on the back of page 1. Envelopes? I've printed envelopes by putting the flap over the end of a sheet of paper and feeding it into the printer. It's not nice... the straighter the paper path the better that technique works. It's also better in inkjets than lasers.
