HP Ink Cartridge Problem?

Problem when refilling hp 802 black ink cartridge?

• The printer is the Deskjet 1000. The original black ink 802 cartridge only lasted about 100 pages. (I've not used the color one much, and it can print fine still). I've refilled it - it's very simple - but nothing in black prints. I've done all the trouble shooting, but in vain. What can be the problem?
