What laser printer is best to get?

What kind of color laser printer should i get?

  • I need to print color documents, most of them are photographs/documents that use alot of dark ink, and i need the COLOR to match the picture on my monitor AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE with good resolution, my price range is up to $500. any advice?

  • Answer:

if your document size doesn't exceed an A4 then your budget is good, I'd recommend Xerox for sure coz the printer supports most of the pan tone colors and the resolution of the images are very nice their prices are a little bit cheaper than Hp as well.

if you looking to invest in a printer i would recommend spending the extra on a printer such as the epson r2880, r1400 etc. both capable of a3+ and have cis (continuous ink systems) available, to reduce running costs. The 1400 is cheaper as it uses less ink cartridges (doesn't have dedicated grey inks) the r2880 has, so if black and white is a big part of your printing, spend the extra cash as you may have a slight hue in the greys from the 1400 as it needs to mix all the colours to make grey. To get the prints as close as possible, use a monitor calibration system such as the Pantone huey, huey pro, monkey, etc as these will ensure your monitor matches pantone printing standards. All Epsom photo printers come with plugins for photoshop and other image editing packages, ensuring the closest match possible.

It depends what colour you like. If your monitor is black then get a gray or white laser printer. Preferably white :p and if your monitor is white, then get a black one. If your monitor is gray, get a white laser printer. Just see what colours match the most. (Prolly just get one in white :p) hopefully this helps!

the one that i have at the moment is quite new. i cant remember how much it was but its called Canon MP620. my other one i had was way better but it was like over 1000 dollars and i couldnt keep it because i needed something to go in it that costs all most as much as the god damn printer'. but the one i hav now is still a real good quality printer. Good Luck!!!!

Laser printers do not have the resolution to print a high quality photo. You should look at a high volume inkjet for that. Something like the HP Officejet Pro K5400 will give you the value and quality.
