How to hook subwoofers to a computer?

Does anyone know how to hook an HP 3940 printer to a Dell computer?

• I tried sending an email to Dell and to HP but don't get a reply from either company. I plugged the printer into my Dell computer, installed the software, but it doesn't seem to like the USB port on the back of my computer tower because I keep getting a message telling me that I can now hook up the printer to my computer. I keep unplugging then replugging the USB cable to the computer but it still doesn't work. I need the printer working so I don't fail a class. The software program I need was installed in my Dell computer by my school. I can't find anyone willing to hook up my computer to the internet (we can't afford a landline phone). In order to submit my required projects for school, I have to do the project on my computer, then print it off, scan it into my husband's computer (that is no longer able to read CDs or DVDs) then send it by email to my instructor before Sunday, April 13, 2008 so I need the printer to work as soon as possible. (I can't afford to buy another printer.)

  i dont know how to fix your problem, but could you possibly go to a public library?? you can print there, free about 10 sheets and then 10 cents a piece after that. if nothing works out, just try going to a printing store and have them print it for you. sorry if that wasnt much of a help. best of luck!
