How can I connect my printer wireless?

How can I setup the wireless printer when it won't connect properly?

  • Computer info: Dell Inspiron 17 with Windows 7 Router info: Belkin: F5D9231-4 with WPS (wep, pin, phraseword/password) Printer info: Dell v715w I have tried every possible way to setup this printer but for some reason it wont connect. The wireless light is green on the front of the printer as if it's connected but there must be a reason why my laptop is unable to communicate with it through the router/network. After 5 hours, it finally connected but only if I was using an ethernet cable to connect to the router. Once I removed the ethernet and turned off printer to move it, when I turned it back on it's not working now. I've tried unistalling and reinstalling and nothing works!!!!!! HELP!

  • Answer:

You need to add the printer to the trusted network, either by adding its MAC address to the router, or it's IP address. I dont have a belkin router, but there should be an option in the wireless area to allow it.
