How to resize an image that is very wide,so it fits onto my printer which prints the biggest at A4?i've tried?
-
i've tried to resize in paint.net under image tab as advised on a youtube video, but all that did was decrease the image quality from 300dpi to around 150dpi. I just need to fit the wide image into a A4 Size,as my mg6150 pixma dosn't seem to allow me so far. please give me instructs how to keep the same quality but fit it into the dimensions of A4,without cropping

Use paint.net. File > Print > (Wizard comes Up) > Select Printer > Click on Preferences > Choose Quick Setup tab at the top > [Make sure settings are Paper Size = A4 > Orientation = Landscape] > Click OK > Click Next > [Shows you the page preview] > Next > Document Prints In the above settings the orientation is set to landscape because you stated it was a wide picture. Hope it works for you, it should.

If you have Windows, open the file in Paint, select the entire image and copy, then open MS Word if you have it or download OpenOffice suite (http://www.openoffice.org ) and paste it into a new document sized for your paper. Otherwise, you'll have to have an image resizer that can do it without losing too much quality. Any time you decrease the size of an image, quality will always be lost because it removes extra pixels and information that's not needed. Or, if you like, you can send it to me (contact me through profile) and I can see what I can do with it since I have various programs.

try this in paint.net file/save as jpeg/flatten; then go image/resize and adjust image size to suit an A4 page but remeber to keep a high qaulity resolution for printing! you can increase/decrease the pixel dimensions & resolution providing the actual file size does not exceed the origional document size & the image quality should still retain its qaulity (it should) as it does in photoshop! Best of luck!

right-click the picture and select "print". Uncheck "fit picture to frame" near the bottom of the dialog. Select printer etc. and select "print". [To change additional printer settings click on "options" and select "printer properties"].
