What's wrong with my printer?

  • I have an HP Deskjet 5940 printer and after each sheet of paper it prints I get an error message saying there's a paper jam. I opened the cover but nothing was wrong. I just have to press the flashing button on the printer after each sheet of paper and it's very annoying because i print tons of paper every day for school and for my mother...The printer worked fine until now...It started doing this about two weeks ago and it's getting on my nerves because i have documents 20 pages long which need to be printed twice and i have to sit by the printer half an hour and press the button every minute :|. Did this happen to anyone else? Can I fix it?

Try disconnecting and unplugging printer wait a minute or so. Then reconnect andplug back in, this should reset printer. Look inside printer to be sure you don't have alot of dust building up.
