How to find inodes within a file?

Where do I find a file that I clicked on Print to File from the printer queue?

  • I typed a Word document and sent it to print, but did not save the file. The file got stuck in the printer queue. I clicked on the file in the printer queue and right clicked. I then clicked on Printer properties. I clicked on the port tab and then checked the box for port "File - print to file". When I did that my file disappeared from the print queue. I am now desperately trying to locate the file. Can you help me figure out where it is? Thanks

  • Answer:

You have a couple of options: 1) If you know the name of the file/document, you can do a search for it using the name. 2) When you did a print to file, it should have given you the path name where it was going to be saved. If you don't remember it, try replicating the action again with another file/document and take special care to note where it is being saved to.
