How do I make my HP laptop read my printer?
-
I already put in the disk of my printer into my laptop like a year ago. I thought I wouldn't need the disc anymore so I threw it out. I just connect my printer to my laptop with the USB cord that the printer came with. My printer was working perfectly fine and it still does. I can make copies and scans. My only problem is that when I try to print out a document from my Word Works Processor, my documents won't print out. Does anybody know what I can do about this problem?

Answer:
download the software and driver here: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html tip: troubleshooting it sometimes makes no sense at all and re-installing the software that comes with it is the best fix. Files are not consistent as time goes by due to OS updates/viruses and will sometimes require the software to be re installed again. My source would be my experience
