How to add Adobe printer?

My new printer is not showing in Adobe Reader X?

  • My problem is that when I go to print PDF from Adobe Reader X, my new printer does not show up in the print window; it just shows my old printer. But the old printer is uninstalled from the "Devices and Printers" window, so I don't know why it is still showing up. My PDF program is Adobe Reader X, the printer is an HP 3050A J611 over my home wireless network, and my laptop operating system is Windows 7 32 bit. The printer is brand new, and I have downloaded and updated the printer drivers and Adobe software. I have also tried printing by using the USB printer cable, but that didn't work either. (I also have a netbook with the Windows 7 32 bit operating system and Adobe Reader X. Everything on the netbook is updated as well, and I am able to print PDF just fine.)

    You might try shutting down your computer and re-booting it. Often times software doesn't update properly when something is newly installed or removed until the computer is re-booted.
