Is laser printer better than inkjet one's or vice-versa?

    A laser is typically going to be better and faster in addition to being able to stand up to water and sunlight better. Cost per page is going to be better usually too. Color laser printers are a lot more expensive than inkjets though and for home use not really a justifiable purchase. The toner is less expensive per page, but the cartrides are more expensive too, so it's really only ideal for higher volume use. Inkjets nowadays are getting great print quality while getting cheaper and cheaper to buy. They're also a little more versatile in media handling capabilities like printing transfers or wide format papers.

If you are looking for a quality then go for laser printer

Depends on what type of printing you want to do. consumer laser printers are mostly black and white. Their pros are: They print much faster; Print quality is much better; Ink Burns into the paper, so it won't smudge; They are very efficient at printing compared to InkJet. 1 Cartridge will last you for about 1k pages of text prints Cons: Can't print in color. Printers cost more (though it will py for itself later on). Inkjets on the other hand are relatively cheap, and can print colors. Cons: Ink is expensive, harder to maintain, ink on paper smudges easily, paper jams. For office work, definitely go with Laser. For home use your best choice would be inkjet.

A laser is better for just about everything except high resolution photos. Because it uses dry toner which is melted to the page by heat, it can't match the resolution of ink. It also can't be used with coated photo paper since the heat would destroy it. If you don't have the need for high resolution photos, get a color laser. If you plan on printing photos, get an inkjet.

If you are printing high volumes of black and white print then the laser printer is the way to go, it only uses one color of toner... black. Inkjet printers do not have the volume of ink in their cartridges for doing high volumes of black and white printing and in the end would cost much more.
