Is it true about inkjet printers??

Someone told me that with inkjet printers that if you don't print something for a few days then they dry up, like the rollers or something dries up so you can't print anymore...is this true?? I just got one hooked up and sometimes I will go weeks without printing...

I sometimes go weeks as well and never in the four years I've had one have i had any such problems. i have a HP all in one printer.

Yes , the ink will dry up on the head in time , not 2-3 days . You can take out the cartridge and wipe it off with some alcohol and a q-tip. Let dry for a couple of minutes , reinsert cartridges and run a test print .Should be fine .

Yes, it's true. Buy a brand with built-in printheads on each ink cartridge like HP or Canon. If they should get clogged up just replace the ink cartridge and you get a new printhead. Epson is a brand with non-replaceable printheads that might get clogged upped and permanently damaged if left unused for long periods.

Depending on the weather. Depending if you turn off your printer. Because if it is turned off. Most likely the ink cartridge goes back to the carriage where it can be covered.

If it was I would be buying cartridges a couple of times a month. I only print once or twice a week . If the room is really hot then they can dry over a weekend but most people I know don't have that happen, I have an Epson that have separate heads and they have yet to dry up

yes it's true, never leave your printer head gets dry...for not using it..

Not True. I print maybe once or twice a month, and have NEVER had a problem. If that were the case, no one would be buying printers.
