How can i install my canon printer with out installation disc?

How can Install my Canon printer without the installation CD?

I have a Canon MP470 printer/scanner/copier which was linked up to my old computer which broke down. I now have a new computer and desperately need to use the scanner, however I've lost the installation cd and when I try to hook it up it says I need the cd. Is there anyway I can install it without the cd?

Search the manufacturer web site for that model's driver. Download and install the driver from the internet. Here it is. http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=116&modelid=15403#DownloadDetailAct

If tis just a printer, plug it in and turn it on. The computer will auto recognize then allow windows to search online for the drivers and you should be fine.
