How to setup a Dell P1500 laser printer onto a network?
-
I have a Dell P1500 Laser Printer i'm trying to set up onto my home network. Is there a ethernet option available or must I use a print server. Router and printer are will not be near each other
-
Answer:
Since the printer is USB only, you will need either a USB to ethernet print server adapter or a USB to wireless print server adapter (if you're router is wireless too) in order to attach it to your network. You could also attach it to a computer & enable print sharing to allow it to be shared across the network.

Other answers
You will need a printer server to connect all computers to the printer since it is not a wireless printer.
